One of the most impressive dives in Gizo is the wreck of the Toa Maru. A 145-metre World War Two Japanese transport vessel, she was sunk by American fighter planes during the latter part of the war. Lying on her starboard side in a protected bay, this wreck is a great dive for all levels of experience.
