Strange looks...
Posted: Fri Apr 25, 2008 4:44pmIf there's one way to guarantee strange looks as a diver, it's emerging from a lake to see a shocked family feeding ducks stopping to stare. Excited comments about the size of the eel you just saw also help cement the effect of divers being a different breed.
This happened at the end of a dive down at Leybourne Lake in Kent last week. I'm not used to seeing non-divers when I come out of an inland dive site, but Leybourne Lake is surrounded by an excellent country park. The lake itself is a really nice dive; shallow, and nice and light. The huge eel topped it off. Read our report on the Lake and get your money off voucher in the July issue of Sport Diver.
