Underwater cinematographer course set for August

Industry veteran Jon Shaw is to run a cinematography course Down Under at the start of August.

AFTRS Open’s Underwater Cinematography: Theory and Practice will run from 9-12 August in Sydney.

The course will incorporate classroom sessions and two full ocean dive days. Jon Shaw promises to show attendees how filming in the water is “completely different to everything they knew about cinematography up to that point”.

The course offers Advanced Divers with previous experience in shooting video the opportunity to expand their CV and begin a new career in underwater cinematography.
