Scuba kid swims 1km underwater for penguins
A nine-year-old boy from Wiltshire has completed a 1km swim underwater to raise money for a penguin conservation charity.
Zac Cuff raised £133 for Rockhopper Penguin Conservation by swimming the sponsored distance at the Blue Pool in Melksham.
Zac has been interested in wildlife for a long time, and is a member of the RSPB’s Wildlife Explorers who have recently launched a campaign to raise money for these threatened birds.
Having recently qualified as a PADI Master Seal Scuba Diver with Melksham-based dive company Divezone, Zac decided to combine his newly acquired scuba diving skills with a fundraising effort for the penguins.
Zac’s scuba equipment was supplied by Divezone.
