New Bahamas diving operation set for December launch

The Bahamas’ latest diving operation, Dive Bimini, is set to open for business on December 1st.

Co-developed by marine scientist and conservationist Guy Harvey and diving pioneer Neal Watson, the new operation is built upon some serious diving pedigree.

The jewel in Dive Bimini’s crown is the Bimini Blue, a glass-bottomed, double-decker boat with the capacity for 100 people. There is no bigger dive boat in the Bahamas.

The opening of the new diving outfit, which is located in the Bimini Big Game Club, adds an extra option for all those headed to the island for a dive holiday.

Harvey said that one of Dive Bimini’s main attractions was the people it will have running it, most significantly his co-developer Watson.

He said: “Suffice it to say, the number of amazing dive sites, the abundance of large animals, and Neal’s personal familiarity with Bimini, will all make for memorable diving that will bring you back time and time again.

“In my travels on dive expeditions, it’s safety first, followed by experience and fun. With Neal … we have the complete package.”

Bimini is the westernmost point of the Bahamas.
