NUPG Splash-In this weekend

The NUPG Splash-In will be held this weekend, Saturday 8 September, offering budding underwater photographers the opportunity to practice their hobby and win prizes.

Underwater photographers of all levels can have a go, by diving around the North Wales coastline on the day. The event also ties in with Anglesey Scubafest, so there will be plenty of events for divers to attend on the day.

Prizes for the Splash-In competition have been donated by Apeks, Dive Quest, Frogfish@Divelife, Mares and Quest Diving. The Northern Underwater Photography Group will also be holding a print competition that will be judged, along with the Splash-In images, on the night.

Anglesey provides many different dive sites to explore and find good photographic topics. The most popular dive site will be the Menai Strait, but the island offers great diving all around the coastline. If the news reports are to be believed we might even get some good weather!

To join in the competitions please email info@nupg.org.uk to get the details and rules of the competitions. The Splash-In categories are Open Wide Angle; Open Macro and Compact Camera. The Print competition is divided into two categories: UK and Overseas. A trophy for the overall winner of the Splash-In will be presented on the night at the Carreg Mon Hotel
