Divers wishing to attend EUROTEK.2012 should book their place now as tickets are selling fast.
The bi-annual advanced and technical diving conference will take place on 13-14 October at the International Convention Centre, Birmingham, UK.
A host of major names connected with technical diving will be in attendance. These diving luminaries include: Dr Petar Denoble, Dr Andrew Fock, Jill Heinerth, Brian Kakuk, Evan Kovacs, Richard Lundgren, Michael Menduno, Pete Mesley, Professor Simon Mitchell, Martin Robson, Dr Arne Sieber and Rick Stanton.
The event is not only geared towards technical divers, but also advanced recreational divers looking to understand a little more about that next step. Divers of varying degrees of experience - and from 20 different countries - are set to attend.
During the two days 40 talks will be given. Among the topics up for discussion this year are; 'Rescue of an unconscious diver at depth', 'Deep Stops - Deep Trouble?' and 'Exploring Bahamian Blue Holes' to name a few.
Furthermore, the EUROTEK.12 Rebreather Panel, led by Professor Simon Mitchell, will discuss the consensus statements written up during the recent Rebreather Forum 3 (RF3). This session is a 'must attend' for all rebreather instructors and ITs who were unable to attend RF3, and the perfect opportunity for others to get up to speed with current thinking in rebreather technology.
A total of 35 specialist companies will exhibit at the event, with primary sponsorship offered by Ambient Pressure Diving, DiveLife, Fourth Element, Light Monkey and Suunto.
