Inaugural Miss Scuba Singapore 2012 huge success
The winner of the first ever Miss Scuba Singapore has been announced.
Yvonne Tan, who will now go on to take part in Miss Scuba International in Bali later this year, took first place in the UnderWater3Some-sponsored event.
A total of ten scuba girls took part in the event, with Peggy Heng and Eugena Phang taking the first and second runner-up spots respectively.
The contestants were judged on four categories: Miss Photogenic, Miss Beautiful Hair, Miss Beautiful Skin and Miss Beautiful Body.
Ms Tan will now undertake a professional session with one of the judges, the former Miss Singapore Universe and TV personality, Nuraliza Osman, as well as complete her Open Water course and an educational training class for safe diving and ocean conservation for the final round in Bali.
The winner of Miss Scuba International, which will consist of 18 women from across the world, will participate in various ocean conservation campaigns and represent Miss Scuba International in various countries where she will attend exhibitions and expos related to ocean conservation and marine research.
