Historical Diving Society Conference 2010
The Historical Diving Society’s annual conference will be held in the Queen’s Hotel, Southsea, Portsmouth on Saturday 13 November.
This year’s speakers and subjects are:
Professor Richard Vann on the beginnings and development of the United States combat swimmer/diver special forces.
Peter Jackson on life and work in the Siebe Gorman factory, Tolworth, in the 1960s.
Jeff Hakko on the history of diving in Turkey
Dr Robert Sténuit on Captain Thomas Dickinson’s salvage of the Thetis in 1831.
