Divecrew get into Hawaiian sprit for Project AWARE

Twenty five divers from Divecrew took Vobster Quay inland dive site by storm for their first Hawaiian Project Aware Diving Day.

The fund-raising event on 8 August featured a competition for the best-dressed diver with four groups making it to the cheer-off final with the matching Hawaiian Couple taking the trophy. Well done Simon and Lara for taking the prize.

The Hawaiian Diving Day is set to become an annual fixture with limbo dancing, Hawaiian music and a BBQ already planned for 2011.

Divecrew owner Collin Miles said: “The idea behind the event was to raise some cash for the Project Aware Foundation charity and of course to have some fun.”

It’s hope that in 2011 many more divers from other clubs will take part. Divecrew ask that a £10 per person donation is paid to join in the fun. To register your interest in next year’s event please email info@divecrew.co.uk
