Dive operator offering Egypt shark fun
Dive operator Oonasdivers has a few places left on Egypt dive holidays for next week, with plenty of shark activity reported.
The trips, which are based aboard MY Blue Pearl and from Shagra, run from 18-25 July.
Among the sharks spotted on recent trips to Brothers, Daedalus and Elphinstone include hammerheads, thresher shark, tiger shark, silver tip shark, grey reef shark and oceanic white tips.
For those more inclined to base themselves on land, Shagra has one of the richest and most pristine house reefs in Southern Egypt and has been declared a protected area for the last 20 years. Its house reef is home to around 300 species of fish and 100 species of coral. The bay is also occasionally frequented by some pelagic species such as dolphins and manta rays.
