COMPETITION: Design your own Red Sea liveaboard itinerary!

Sport Diver has teamed up with dive specialist tour operator Scuba Travel to kick off 2012 with a unique competition – design your own Red Sea liveaboard itinerary, and then win a trip for two on the inaugural trip!
The Red Sea is world-renowned for its superlative diving, and it has generally been recognised that to hit the best spots and get the most diving ‘bang for your buck’, a liveaboard is the only way to go. Liveaboards in the Red Sea are now spacious, luxurious vessels with air-conditioning, en-suite rooms, large salons, huge dive decks and plentiful food and drink – they really are like floating hotels these days.
There are a wide range of itineraries available, from the northern wreck safari, taking in the likes of the Thistlegorm, Rosalie Moller and the Abu Nuhas wrecks, and offshore marine park trips heading for legendary sites like the Brothers, Daedalous and Rocky Island. But how about setting off on a one-week itinerary that you have planned and developed yourself?
That is exactly what is on offer in this exciting competition. We want you to come up with the perfect week-long liveaboard itinerary and send it in to us. Our panel of judges will then choose the one that is the most-different and most-intriguing, and Scuba Travel will organise the itinerary so it becomes reality on one of their fleet of prestigious dive boats. The winning entrant – along with a buddy – will then get to embark on the inaugural voyage of their itinerary. Who knows, dream up the right blend of sites and your itinerary could become a staple alongside Simply the Best, Northern Wreck Safari and Deep South…

Don’t go crazy…
The main thing to remember when planning your itinerary is to be realistic. It is no good suggesting a seven-day trip that includes the Straits of Tiran and Fury Shoals, as the distances between the locations means it is simply not feasible. Other than this, go wild and see what you can come up with!

Terms and conditions
Entrants must be 18 or over and a qualified diver. The prize is for a trip for two on a Red Sea liveaboard organised by Scuba Travel, including flights, full board on the liveaboard, transfers, and 12-litre tank and weights. The trip will be between October and December 2012. The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, and non-changeable. Usual booking terms and conditions apply. Closing date is 1 March 2012.
The winner may be notified by email and the results may be published in this magazine and on the website. We reserve the right to report details of competition winners, to take photographs (or other visual media) and to publish such media. The prize must be taken as offered with no alternative. In the event that the prize cannot be supplied, no liability will attach to Archant. Entry into any competition does not give rise to any binding agreement between the parties.
