Atomic Aquatics recalls Cobalt computers
Atomic Aquatics has announced a recall of its acclaimed Cobalt dive computer after discovering a potential problem with a particular batch.
The company has said that improper assembly of the high-pressure sensor inside the unit could leak, potentially causing the lens of the computer to blow off suddenly. This could result in personal injury, render the computer inoperable or create a continuous but slow leak of breathing gas that could cause a diver to surface prematurely.
This recall affects all units manufactured between 31 May 2010 and 16 April 2012 - serial lots 2210-XXXX through to 1612-XXXX.
If you have one of these computers, stop using it immediately and return the unit to your authorised Atomic Aquatics dealer for inspection.
