Mark's Blog: To the USA - eventually!
I only had a one hour 15 minute window between my arrival in Charlotte and my flight to Pensacola, and as soon as the 'technical' delay in Gatwick reached one hour 30 minutes, I knew I was screwed.
Sure enough, on arrival in Charlotte, it was 3.20pm - exactly 30 minutes after my flight to Pensacola had departed!
Next flight was 8.25pm, so what else to do but retire to the nearest sports bar, try to make sense of Yank sports and sup a refreshing cold one.
One good thing - checking in with the crew in Pensacola, all looks calm on the weather front, and the oil slick hasn't moved, so all seems positive!
