DOMINO'S BLOG: Fun in Paris

Paris, also known as the ‘capital of love’ was the perfect location to share my passion for ocean protection! From 10 to 12 January, I joined divers and dive professionals who came from all corners of the globe to visit or exhibit at the Salon International de la Plongée Sous-Marine 2014 in Paris. This annual event brings together a passionate community of advocates for the ocean. The theme of this year’s dive show was ‘Family’ - the perfect theme to remind divers of the importance of protecting the health of our ocean for us and future generations. It was inspiring to talk with many children interested in diving and fascinated by the underwater world. Kids seem to understand and respect our environment - they are willing to learn, want to think about solutions and secure a better future for us all. From engaging divers in the fight against marine debris to spreading the shark love, the Paris Dive Show was a huge success! Check out our photo album on Flickr, Facebook or Pinterest, the photos speak for themselves! My special thanks go to all PADI staff and PADI Pros involved for their hard work and support before and during the show, and of course a big thank you to all our supporters and friends who stopped by or attended the Dive Against Debris presentation I gave at the show. The next big date for my diary is London International Dive Show (LIDS 2014) on 15/16 February. I hope to see you there!
